Registered Clinical Dietitian

About me

I am glad you are here, let’s get to know each other…

Thanks for being curious to find out more about me!

I am Georgia Piperaris, a clinical dietitian and nutritionist. I graduated from the University of Hertfordshire in 2014 with a (BSc) in Dietetics. Following the completion of the standards of proficiency set by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), I received my qualification, becoming a Registered Dietitian in 2016, and since then, I have been a member of both HCPC and the Cyprus Dietetic & Nutrition Association.

The thesis obtained during my undergraduate studies with absolute success was entitled Relative Changes in Body Composition in Individuals Performing Zumba after "Dietary Intervention" which was presented during the 8th Congress of the Cyprus Dietetic & Nutrition Association in 2014.

I then developed a special interest in patients suffering from eating disorders and decided to undertake a program, receiving the title of Master Practitioner in Eating Disorders & Obesity from NCfED in 2020.

My Philosophy

At the core of my nutrition philosophy is the belief that gradual, consistent adjustments can yield substantial enhancements in one's well-being. I endorse a
balanced and mindful eating approach, prioritizing whole, nutrient-rich foods. I believe that through mindful choices and a tailored approach, we can navigate
the complexities of nutrition, ensuring sustainable and meaningful
transformations one step at a time.

Many factors can alter a diet, including
taste preferences, physical activity, ethical and environmental concerns, medical
conditions, and more.

By offering personalized guidance, fostering education and embracing a holistic perspective, I am committed to support individuals in realizing their unique health
and wellness goals.

I am on a mission to embark on a journey towards optimal health and a thriving
balanced life.

My Experience

During my undergraduate studies, I had the privilege of working in several hospitals and clinics in Cyprus, being part of the healthcare team. In these settings, I gained experience in various medical areas, including diabetes,
cardiovascular disease, cancer, gastrointestinal disorders, renal and liver disorders, nutrition support, mental health, and weight management, among

I also collaborate with several schools and nurseries, delivering informative lectures and workshops to children and parents on topics related to nutrition and
healthy eating.

Furthermore, I have delivered numerous presentations to the community and organisations and I actively participate in various informative events and
conferences because I believe in the ongoing pursuit of knowledge.

Additionally, I maintain an active collaboration with an athletic centre in Nicosia. In this role, I have the opportunity to work one-on-one with clients interested in sports, assess and manage the dietary habits of clinically ill patients, and contribute to the management and treatment of obesity.

I recently joined the team at 'The Safe Place Project' where I look forward to
supporting their mission of creating a safe and supportive space for all.
