Niki Papapetrou, MSc
Counselling Psychologist
My name is Niki Papapetrou, and I am a Registered Counseling Psychologist. Reg. No 1106
I completed my undergraduate studies in Psychology at the University of Cyprus and my postgraduate studies in Counseling Psychology at the University of Nicosia.
Through my postgraduate studies and clinical training, I gained experience in psychotherapy settings, including the Research and Counselling Services Center (KESY), the Student Counseling Services of the University of Nicosia, the Therapeutic Community “Agia Skepi,” and the Multidisciplinary Center of the Holy Metropolis of Limassol “Agios Ioannis o Eleimon.”
I'm excited to be part of the Safe Place Project team. My aim is to create a safe and supportive therapeutic space where individuals can share thoughts and emotions in an environment that provides respect, understanding, and empathy.

Therapeutic Approach
My therapeutic work is adapted to the unique needs of each person, with Schema Therapy forming the main foundation of my approach. Schemas can be understood as “lenses” through which individuals perceive themselves, others, and the world. In therapy, we collaboratively explore experiences, needs, and coping ways used to manage difficulties, with the aim of strengthening the individual and developing healthier ways of relating to oneself and others.
Experience
