 Short video regarding my approach

Stylianos Constantinou, MSc

Clinical Psychologist (GESY)

"My philosophy is based on a great lesson I received from my mentor:

"For everyone you have in front of you, know that they are first and foremost HUMAN." With this in mind, I am always there for my client… to listen carefully… for them to share with me what concerns them… to give them space and time… and to reach the therapeutic goals together…"

Clinical Psychologist (GESY)

A person’s everyday smile hides much more than another person’s glance at them allows their mind to imagine. Acknowledging the difficulty and perhapsthe fear of revealing deeply hidden parts to a psychologist – a previously unknown person – as a psychologist, I focus on helping the individual feel comfort, safety, understanding, and acceptance as a first step in therapy.Once these features are established in the therapeutic relationship, I use an investigative, in-depth approach to understand and process the individual’srequirements and needs from therapy. This approach usually lasts long-term. Of course, this is something that I discuss with the person in therapy and agree upon together. At the same time, considering everyone’s uniqueness, I alternate between therapeutic tools to allow the person to understand themselves and their feelings more, and evolve in the way they desire.

“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response.

In our response lies our growth and our freedom.”
― Viktor E. Frankl

Empathy, unconditional positive regard for people, authenticity, and respect are the prerequisites for creating a meaningful therapeutic relationship of trust according to the great masters.

These principles form the foundation of my own philosophy as well.

“Know all the theories, master all the techniques, but as you touch a human soul be just another human soul”

Carl Jung.

In my mental health practice, I embrace an integrative approach centered on creating a unique form of treatment for each individual that will best suit their needs and goals.

Understanding that for some people seeking psychological support is a big step, I offer a non-judgmental, confidential, compassionate and professional therapeutic environment."

COUNSELLING PSYCHOLOGISTS

Counselling Psychologist

Diamantis Thomas, MSc

"Normal is not a universal measure, but a personal truth. In therapy, each thought and feeling is honoured as a seed of healing, destined to blossom."

Counselling Psychologist

Diamando Rovania, MSc

What’s left unspoken becomes a heavy weight deep in our hearts and minds. Gradually, it can also isolate us in fear of what may follow if the truth is told.

Will others understand what I feel? Will I be hurt again? Will I be exposed to people who matter to me? And then, how will I deal with these? In the safety of therapy, truth can heal enduring wounds and enhance our understanding of painful or unpleasant emotions.

Truth can free, lighten, and
enable us to find and embrace our true selves. Subsequently, it can allow one to move on with their life purposefully and with inner peace.

Anthoulla Papageorgiou, MA

School - Educational Psychologist

"Through the collaboration with the family, child/adolescent, school, therapist – and any significant other - while using empirically documented methods, it is possible to achieve any change. My goal is to help those mentioned above to "shift" and transform the old-fashioned notion that it is the child that "bears" the difficulty and therefore, it is him who needs help."

Mikaela Neophytou, MSc

"Children need three things: care, love,

and attention.

If you've made it so far as to contact the therapist, you've probably done the first and perhaps most important step"

Andri Michael, MSc

School - Educational Psychologist

"As a school psychologist, the philosophy that guides my work is based on the belief that every child has unique potential and deserves an environment in which they can grow emotionally, socially, and academically.

My goal is to stand alongside children, parents, and educators, building bridges of understanding and collaboration. I focus on prevention, fostering resilience and life skills, while also providing specialized support and guidance. I believe that through a holistic approach we can create an environment where every child feels accepted, safe, and empowered to develop with confidence."

Dionysia Marti, MA

School - Educational Psychologist

"I don't see a child who behaves problematically.

I see a child who expresses a need that I am called upon to identify and fill.

My best interest is that of the child. I aim to identify the needs of each child by providing an empirically based assessment. I aim to create a personalized intervention plan which promotes psychological balance and well-being of each child and family."

Alexandra Zapiti, MSc

School - Educational Psychologist

My sole purpose is to support, inspire, and remind parents, caregivers, educators, and children of the importance of promoting their mental health. Helping in turning other’s pain or difficulty into strength and change someones’s life for the better.

I strongly believe that when you practice the profession you love, along with the required skills, knowledge, confidence and empathy, you can be a source of inspiration to those around you.

"The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination."

Emmelia Georgiou

Dance Movement Psychotherapist

"My approach is grounded in psychodynamic therapy. I work with the understanding that early relationships and unconscious patterns shape how we move through the present. Often, these dynamics come to life in the therapeutic relationship itself,
offering us a unique opportunity to notice, reflect, or try something different."

Part of My Philosophy?

Everything in moderation.

(The reality is nutrition is not black or white. It is gray. There should not be any foods that are “not allowed” in your diet unless you need to restrict certain foods due to medical diagnosis/ intolerance/ allergy/ food preferences. We will figure this out together.)
