Savvina Banti, ΒΑ, ΜΑ
Licensed School - Educational Psychologist
About me
“My name is Savvina Banti and I am a Registered School / Educational Psychologist (Registration No. 1070).
I am a graduate of the Department of Psychology at the University of Cyprus and hold a Master's Degree in School Psychology (MA) from the same university, with a particular research interest in the cognitive and linguistic profiles of children with learning difficulties and chronic conditions, such as epilepsy.
During my studies, I worked on research projects at the Center for Applied Neuroscience (e.g., Neo-PRISM-C, ReaDI-STANCE), gaining experience in cognitive assessments and psychophysiological measurements (e.g., eye-tracking, EEG) with school-aged children.
I later worked as a research assistant at Stockholm University, where I studied the development
of emotional regulation in children and adolescents.
I currently work in private practice in the Nicosia district, where I provide psychological services to children, adolescents, parents, and teachers.”

My Philosophy
“I believe that every child has the capacity to grow, adapt, and flourish when provided with the right support and understanding.
As a School Psychologist, I use empirically-based assessment methods and evidence-based practices to identify the individual needs of each child or adolescent, while always
considering the broader context of their everyday life.
My approach emphasizes collaboration
between the child, family, school, and other professionals, with the goal of creating supportive environments that strengthen emotional well-being, development, resilience, and
quality of life.
My goal is not only to address difficulties, but also to identify and build upon each child’s individual strengths, abilities, and potential.”

My Experience
My professional experience in the field of School and Educational Psychology has been shaped through extensive training, supervised practical training, and participation in
intervention and research programs. As part of my professional training, I completed approximately 1,800 hours of supervised practicum as a Trainee School/Educational
Psychologist at the Educational Psychology Service of the Ministry of Education, Sports, and Youth.
Through this experience, I worked with children and adolescents at all educational levels, gaining substantial experience in psychometric and diagnostic assessment, in designing
individualized interventions, as well as in counseling parents and educators.
At the same time, I participated in the design and implementation of psychoeducational presentations, experiential workshops, and intervention programs within the school community.
Additionally, I participated in a European research project by the Hope For Children CRC Policy Center on actions against hate speech, and I am a certified trainer for the ViSC
program on the prevention of school bullying.
These experiences have shaped a collaborative and holistic approach, aimed at providing meaningful support to children, families, and the school community.
